Rebecca Nice

This is my second year on the Mobile Device project, and I am really excited about drawing all of our experiences and resources together to show-case good practice with technology. I am a third year mature student studying Choreography and Dance combined with History. With eight years of teaching experience under my belt I am keen to inspire new practice with apps and work on how to integrate them into teaching.  I have already presented our work at national conferences on this scheme and can’t wait for the opportunities that the year ahead promises.

Jordan Dodds

This is my first year on the Mobile Device project, I have previous experience working within a mobile projects team, working as a delivery executive for British Airways, working on projects such as a rollout of 3700 iPads to flight crew. I am a third year student studying Business Management with Marketing, and am keen to bring my experience picked up in my employment before university to this role.

 

Kishor Gurung

This is my first year on the Mobile Device project. I am a third year student studying Accounting and Finance. I studied ICT in my A-level and GCSE, so I have good knowledge of this subject which helps me to adapt to new technology quickly. When I was in college, we had a session to help elderly people learn about ICT where I helped them couple of times by teaching them how to perform basic tasks on mobiles and computers such as turning it on and off, using world wide web, email, etc. I recognise the importance of technology in todays’ world because it plays major role in the competitive business world.  One of the benefit of using latest technology such as tablets are that it is portable which allows people to share informations to their users anytime and work remotely. With my background knowledge of ICT, I am keen to develop my knowledge further and share these knowledge.

 

William Wright

This is my first year on the Mobile Device project. I am a Third Year studying BA History and The Modern World, with a keen thirst for knowledge. I am especially keen on the utilization of available resources in the advancement of academic studies. I have a desire for technology and the benefits of utilizing technology efficiently to further the engagement of academic studies for lecturers and students. The Mobile Device project will enable me to further develop my knowledge and subsequently share this knowledge further. The scheme will also vitally enable myself to further develop my presentation skills through our guided workshops and presentations at conferences.
